Original Recipe
Use small bar glass. 2 or 3 dashes of gum syrup, 3 dashes of bitters, 1 wine glass of brandy. Fill with ice, stir with spoon, strain in a red wine glass, and rub the edges of the glass with lemon.
Modern Recipe
Ingredients
- ¼ oz (7.5 ml) simple syrup
- ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Angostura bitters
- 2 oz (60 ml) brandy
- Ice
Instructions
Fill a mixing glass with ice, add all ingredients, stir until well chilled. Strain into a red wine glass. Rub the rim of the glass with a lemon wedge and garnish with a lemon twist.
