Original Recipe

Use large bar glass, 1 tablespoonful of sugar, 1 egg, 2 wine glasses of Brandy, 1 tablespoonful of Vanilla Syrup. Fill glass with ice, shake well, strain into fancy bar glass, grate nutmeg over it, and serve.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz (120 ml) brandy
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vanilla syrup
  • Ice

Instructions

Fill a shaker with ice, sugar, egg, brandy, and vanilla syrup. Shake well, strain into a glass, grate nutmeg on top, and serve.
