Original Recipe

Use large bar glass, 1 tablespoonful of sugar, 2 tablespoonsful of extract of vanilla, 1 wine glass of Brandy, 3 dashes of lemon juice, fill with cracked ice, shake well, and ornament with slices of orange. Serve with straws.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 oz (60 ml) brandy
  • 3 dashes lemon juice
  • Cracked ice

Instructions

Fill a shaker with cracked ice, add all ingredients, and shake well. Strain into a glass, garnish with orange slices, and serve with straws.
