Original Recipe

Use small bar glass. 3 dashes of gum syrup, 3 dashes of Boker's Bitters, 3 dashes of Curacao, 1 wineglass of whiskey, Fill with fine ice, stir with spoon and strain in cocktail glass. Serve with lemon peel.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) simple syrup
  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Angostura bitters
  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) orange liqueur
  • 2 oz (60 ml) bourbon whiskey
  • Ice

Instructions

Fill a mixing glass with ice, add all ingredients, stir until well chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
