Original Recipe

Use a large punch bowl. Peel 2 Lemons and put the peeling in the bowl, squeeze the juice of the lemons upon them, and add 4 tablespoonsful of sugar. Mash these ingredients well together so as to obtain the extract from the lemon peel, then add 2 bottles of Soda Water, 2 bottles of Champagne, 2 bottles of Claret. Stir, and dress the top with fruit and berries in season, serve.

Ingredients

  • Peel and juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 tablespoons (60 ml) sugar
  • 2 bottles soda water
  • 2 bottles Champagne
  • 2 bottles Claret wine
  • Seasonal fruit and berries (for garnish)

Instructions

Mash lemon peel, juice, and sugar together in a bowl. Add soda water, Champagne, and Claret. Stir well, garnish with fruit and berries, and serve.
