Original Recipe

Use large bar glass, ½ tablespoonful of sugar, ½ of a small lemon, 1 wine glass of Gin, 1 or 2 squirts of Seltzer Water. Fill the glass with ice, stir with spoon, and strain into Cocktail glass.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ tablespoon (7.5 ml) sugar
  • Juice of ½ small lemon
  • 2 oz (60 ml) gin
  • Seltzer water
  • Ice

Instructions

Fill a glass with sugar, lemon juice, gin, and ice. Add seltzer water, stir well, and strain into a cocktail glass.
