Original Recipe

Use small bar glass, 1 teaspoonful of sugar dissolved in water, 1 wine glass of Scotch Whiskey. Fill with boiling water and stir with spoon.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sugar
  • Water (to dissolve sugar)
  • 2 oz (60 ml) Scotch whiskey
  • Boiling water

Instructions

Fill a glass with sugar dissolved in water and whiskey. Fill the rest with boiling water, stir well, and serve.
