Original Recipe

Use large bar glass. The yolk of 1 egg, 1½ tablespoonsful of Honey, 2 tablespoonsful of Curacao, 2 wine glasses of Claret. Mix well with a spoon, then put it on the fire until it boils. Add a few cloves, sprinkle with nutmeg, and serve.

Modern Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1½ tablespoons (22.5 ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Curacao
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Claret wine
  • Cloves
  • Nutmeg (grated)

Instructions

Mix egg yolk, honey, Curacao, and Claret in a pan. Heat until boiling, add cloves, sprinkle nutmeg on top, and serve.
